About Me
I’m writing and making art to support my dream of one day having a stable desk job.
I won the RHUL English Prize for Creative Writing two years in a row; I’ve had poetry longlisted for the Frontier Poetry Fables and Myths Prize; I’ve written for several games and even got paid for some of them. Right now, I’m returning to my love of oil painting, which I got into because I was the only person who signed up for after-school art classes in high school, so I got one-on-one painting lessons while everyone else was ‘hanging out with friends’. My high school art teacher taught me everything I know about oil paint and some things I still struggle with, like letting the canvas breathe more.
You can follow me on instagram @anakos.ic or on substack at https://substack.com/@anakosic, but if neither of these work for you I am working on an undeletable album that will one day appear on your phone and which will include all of the thought’s I’ve ever had about ice skating. Stay tuned.
